This is my preliminary task which i created on serif page plus, incuded in both pages are photos of the school which i took mself. I wanted to go for a simple layout because my research has shown they are the most successful.
I Like the background colours as they are light and have connections with the school uniform colours, I also like the template of my contents page because it is easy to read. However when it comes to making my final product I know that it will need to look much more professional than this.

On the contents page I have used a range of shots such as a high angle shot (top right), a close up (centre left) and a long shot (bottom right). This is because it keeps the reader interested and adds a sense of excitement to the photos rather than keeping them in one generic format. |

On the front cover I have included anchorage text, this is the captions and key elements that fixes the meaning of the main image and directs the reder towards a preferred reading. In this case it is that 'Poole High School' is the best school in the area and is well represented. The two images are medium shots giving the reader as much detail as they need in establishing the meaning of the magazine. |
